Tirupur is located on the western part of Tamil Nadu. The city has a moderate climate thanks to its proximity to the Western Ghats. Coimbatore is in the west of Tirupur and Erode in the east. Tirupur district has a total area of 5106 sq.km. Since the south western part of Tirupur is surrounded by the Western Ghats that part receives maximum rainfall.
